Buttermere & Crummock Water Workshop - Price £95 (Max of 3 people)
Upcoming Dates: Sat 5th Oct, Sun 17th Nov
As part of the day we aim to visit as many of the locations listed below as possible but this will depend on the weather, ground conditions and the time of year. I like to keep the workshop sizes small with a maximum of three participants, this will enable me to give you more attention thus enabling you to get the most from your day. The start time will vary throughout the year with the aim of starting just before sunrise and the day will last for around 8 hours (minimum).
On the workshop the emphasis will be on informal tuition looking at: Camera settings, the use of ND filters, how to improve the image with simple compositional tweaks, how to add impact and the use of long exposure techniques.
To book please contact me via the Contact page
The walking on this workshop in the main will be on reasonably level ground with the possibility of a couple of inclines, the surfaces will be uneven and walking boots are required. If you have wellington boots please bring these especially in the winter months.

Buttermere:
Buttermere with its iconic lone tree and the majestic sentinels is a gem within the Lake District and on a calm day is hard to beat for photo opportunities. (The lone tree is not accessible between the 1st of April and 30th of June, to allow the resident Sandpipers peace during their breeding season)
Crummock Water:
Only a short drive away is Crummock Water where there are several shots within a small walking distance and a great place to try out your long exposures shots on a windy day.
Gatesgarthdale Beck:
At the southern end of Butteremere is the road to Honister Pass where Gatesgarthdale Beck meanders its way past Fleetwith Pike towards Buttermere, High Crag, High Stile and Red Pike, a view which would look at home in the Scottish Highlands.
Honister Pass:
At the top of Honister Pass you can walk along the old slate mine workings towards a superb view taking in parts of Buttermere and Crummock Water.
